Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") set the conditions for using the classes, materials, AI features, consultation chat and other services offered on this site and app (the "Service"). By agreeing when you register or apply, you accept these Terms.
In these Terms, the "Reseller" means the business that sells the classes on this site (Team of One). Its name, address and contact details are shown in the Legal Notice. The "Operator" means the company that provides the class content and the systems of the Service (video delivery, AI features, payment processing and so on) to the Reseller. A "Member" means a person registered with the Service.
Notices shown on the application page and elsewhere, the Legal Notice and the Privacy Policy are part of these Terms.
2. No guarantee of income or results
The Service does not guarantee income or results. Using the Service does not mean you will certainly earn money or certainly get results.
Results vary greatly depending on each Member's efforts, work or business environment, available time, market conditions and other factors.
Examples and figures that appear in the classes, AI answers, staff explanations, or posts by other learners or Handoffers are that person's results or examples for explanation. They do not indicate that you will get the same results.
3. Roles of the Reseller and the Operator
The seller of the classes is the Reseller. The Reseller is responsible for accepting applications, explaining the class content, price and cancellation terms, and handling cancellations, inquiries and complaints.
The Operator provides the class content and the systems of the Service to the Reseller. The Operator is not a party to the sales contract between the Reseller and the Member.
Payments may be received on behalf of the Reseller by the Operator or a payment provider designated by the Operator. In that case, payment to the Reseller is complete when it is received.
Partners (referrers) are not agents of the Reseller or the Operator. Promises by Handoffers or other third parties that differ from these Terms or the application page (promises of income, results, refunds and so on) do not form part of the contract unless the Reseller or the Operator confirms them in writing (including email). This does not limit any rights you have under the law.
4. Eligibility
The following people cannot become Members:
(1) people under 18;
(2) businesses that offer classes or services of the same kind, and people applying for that purpose;
(3) people whose membership was previously revoked for violating these Terms;
(4) people whose registration or application contains false information;
(5) cases where the person who applied and the person who actually uses the Service differ;
(6) people who intend to use the Service for purposes other than its intended purpose, or to obstruct the business of the Reseller or the Operator;
(7) people covered by section 23 (antisocial forces);
(8) others whom the Reseller or the Operator considers unsuitable as Members for a comparable reasonable ground.
If it turns out after registration or application that any of the above applies, the Reseller or the Operator may suspend use or revoke membership. If membership is revoked, paid fees are not refunded, except where the law allows otherwise.
5. Accounts and changes to your details
You register with a Google account. An account may be used only by the person who registered it.
You are responsible for managing your account. Damage caused by a third party using your account is borne by you, unless the Reseller or the Operator is at fault.
When your registered details (name, email address and so on) change, update them promptly. If a notice from the Reseller or the Operator does not reach you because you did not update them, the notice is deemed to have arrived when it would normally have arrived.
6. Applications and formation of the contract
You apply by checking the details on the application page (plan, price, payment method, cancellation and refund terms), agreeing to these Terms and the other documents, and pressing the apply button.
The contract is formed when the Reseller confirms your payment. If payment is not confirmed by the due date, the application is treated as cancelled.
7. Prices and payment
The price is the amount (tax included) shown on the application page.
Bank transfer fees, cryptocurrency network fees, exchange withdrawal fees and internet connection charges are paid by the Member.
Any discount applies under the conditions shown on the application page. The discount for people who registered through a Handoffer's Handoff link applies only to their first purchase.
8. Paying with cryptocurrency
Send the exact address, amount, asset and network shown, before the quote expires. A payment sent after expiry, or one that is short, is not applied to your access automatically; please contact us. After checking, we will tell you how to send the missing amount or refund it (less network fees and similar costs). Exchanges deduct a withdrawal fee, so add it to the amount. Funds sent on a wrong network cannot be recovered.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Applications for the Service are made by Members themselves on this site or app (including when you apply on this site after consulting the Reseller's staff or the AI in the consultation chat). This is a mail-order (online) sale, and there is no statutory cooling-off period for mail-order sales.
The classes are digital classes and services that you can watch right after payment is confirmed. Therefore, cancellations and refunds for the customer's own reasons after applying are not accepted. If you stop using the Service partway through the access period, paid fees are not refunded.
This does not apply where the law allows otherwise (for example, where the class cannot be provided due to the fault of the Reseller or the Operator).
[If an explanation was contrary to the facts]
Only where all of the following apply will we cancel the contract or give a refund in accordance with law:
(1) The explanation was given by the Reseller or the Operator, namely an explanation shown before your application on this site, on the application screen, or by the Reseller's staff in the consultation chat.
(2) The explanation was contrary to the facts regarding the class content, volume, access period, price, payment method or cancellation conditions.
(3) You applied because you believed that explanation.
The following are not cases where an explanation was contrary to the facts:
- Income, sales or results not turning out as you expected (as stated in Article 2, these are not guaranteed).
- Posts by Handoffers or other third parties on social media, blogs, videos and the like (Handoffers are not agents of the Reseller or the Operator).
- AI answers (as stated in Article 15, they are reference information).
- The class content differing from your expectations or interpretation.
- Explanations received after your application.
Make any such request through Contact, stating which explanation was contrary to the facts (screen, date and time, chat messages, etc.). The Reseller and the Operator will decide after checking the consultation chat records and other information.
10. Access period and monthly support
The access period of each plan is shown on the application page. Plans with a fixed period do not renew automatically.
The AI monthly support (a service with a monthly fee) renews automatically every month from the date shown on the application page, and the fee is charged to the payment method you registered.
You can cancel the monthly support at any time by stopping the next renewal. Complete the cancellation on the member page or through the contact form by the day before the next renewal date. Fees for a month that has already started are not refunded, including on a pro-rata basis. You can keep using the service until the end of the month in which you cancel.
11. Leaving the Service
To leave the Service, tell us through Contact (the consultation chat).
After you leave, you can no longer use the classes, AI features or consultation chat. Even if access time or monthly support remains, paid fees are not refunded, except where the law allows otherwise.
Your information after you leave is kept or deleted under the Privacy Policy. Section 13 (confidentiality) and section 19 (compensation) remain in effect after you leave.
12. Use of classes and materials
During the access period, Members may watch the classes and use the materials for their own learning and for their own work or business. This right cannot be transferred or lent to others.
Members may freely use what they write in worksheets and the text they create with the AI features.
13. Confidentiality
Members must not disclose to third parties information learned through the Service, such as the class videos and materials, the content of the AI feature skills (preset ways of using the AI), and information obtained in the consultation chat, and must not copy, republish, sell or redistribute it. This excludes information already made public and use for your own work or business under section 12.
If you violate this, the Reseller or the Operator may suspend your use and revoke your membership without prior notice, and may claim compensation and take legal action.
14. Use of information at your own responsibility
We try to keep the information in the classes, materials, AI answers and staff explanations accurate, but we do not guarantee its accuracy or the results of using it. How you use the information is your own decision and responsibility.
If you cannot watch the classes or do not receive email because of your network environment, device or browser settings, email settings or similar, the Reseller and the Operator are not responsible unless they are at fault. If email does not arrive, check your spam settings.
15. AI features
AI answers are reference information generated automatically by AI. We do not guarantee their accuracy, currency or completeness, or that they fit any particular purpose. For legal, tax, financial, health and similar decisions, verify the information yourself or consult a professional.
Do not enter other people's personal information or confidential information. If you do, you are responsible for any required steps such as obtaining that person's consent.
What you enter is sent to an AI company to generate answers (see the Privacy Policy).
The AI features have usage limits, and you may be unable to use them once a limit is reached.
16. Consultation chat and records
In the consultation chat, the Reseller's staff answer your questions. When no staff member is available, the AI answers first and staff take over later. Questions about prices, contracts, refunds and results are answered by staff, not the AI.
Conversations in the consultation chat and with the AI features are recorded and used to answer your questions, confirm what was explained, check and improve the quality of the Service and of explanations, handle troubles and complaints and confirm the facts, prevent fraud and violations of these Terms, and respond as required by law. The Reseller and the Operator may view these records.
17. Prohibited acts
Members must not:
(1) impersonate another person or register false information;
(2) use the Service for improper purposes or in ways other than those the Service specifies;
(3) record, film, capture or save the class videos, audio, materials or screens (except by methods the Service allows);
(4) copy, republish, sell, distribute, publish or lend all or part of the classes, post them on message boards, social media, video sites, shared folders and the like, or create classes or materials that use the class videos or materials as they are or partly altered;
(5) infringe the intellectual property, privacy or portrait rights of the Reseller, the Operator or third parties;
(6) alter information on the Service;
(7) access the Service without authorization, analyze or alter its systems, or put a heavy load on its servers;
(8) improperly collect or use other Members' information;
(9) publish false information, or URLs or images of the Service without permission;
(10) use a payment method that is not your own, such as someone else's credit card;
(11) register several accounts for one person, or share, lend, transfer or sell an account;
(12) abuse the AI features or the consultation chat (automated bulk sending, evading usage limits, trying to extract the AI's systems or instructions, or making it generate illegal or harmful content);
(13) defame, threaten or harass the Reseller, the Operator, staff or other Members, or make excessively persistent demands;
(14) act as if associated with the Reseller or the Operator, advertise or solicit for other products within the Service, or obstruct the business of the Reseller or the Operator;
(15) act against the law or public order, or in ways connected to crime;
(16) violate these Terms;
(17) do anything comparable to the above that the Reseller or the Operator reasonably considers inappropriate.
18. Measures for violations
If a Member violates these Terms, the Reseller or the Operator may, without prior notice, delete posts or data, restrict the AI features or the consultation chat, suspend the account, or revoke membership. It may also claim compensation and take legal action.
If membership is revoked, paid fees are not refunded, except where the law allows otherwise.
19. Compensation
If a Member causes damage to the Reseller or the Operator by violating these Terms or otherwise, the Member must compensate for that damage (including reasonable attorney's fees).
Even after leaving the Service, we will likewise claim compensation for damage caused by defamation, harassment or excessively persistent demands directed at the Reseller, the Operator or staff.
20. Intellectual property
Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the classes, videos, materials, screen designs, AI feature instructions and everything else related to the Service belong to the Operator or the rightful owners (the Reseller's name and logo belong to the Reseller). These Terms give Members permission to use them and do not transfer any rights.
Rights in content that Members post (chats, feedback and so on) remain with the Members. The Reseller and the Operator may use it free of charge to provide and improve the Service. We will obtain separate consent before using it in advertising in a way that identifies you.
21. Changes, interruption and termination of the Service
The Reseller and the Operator may change the content of the Service (replacing videos, changing the structure, changing the AI model and so on) to the extent that this does not defeat the purpose of the contract.
All or part of the Service may be suspended without prior notice for maintenance, failures, outages of external services (Google, cloud, payment, AI and others), natural disasters and other force majeure, prohibition by law or government order, or other unavoidable reasons.
If all or part of the Service is to end, we will give notice at least 30 days in advance unless this is unavoidable. For paid plans with access time remaining, we will give a refund according to the remaining period or another appropriate remedy.
22. Limitation of liability
The following do not constitute negligence on the part of the Reseller or the Operator: (1) scheduled or emergency maintenance; (2) failures or specification changes of services provided by outside businesses (cloud, AI, payment, telecommunications and others); (3) the Member's network environment, devices or settings; (4) force majeure such as natural disasters, power outages, and measures taken under laws or by authorities.
If a Member cannot use the classes or features for reasons attributable to the Reseller or the Operator, we will first respond by extending the access period, providing the content again, or offering an alternative. Only if that is not sufficient will we pay monetary compensation.
If the Reseller or the Operator compensates a Member for damage, the amount is limited to: (1) for monthly fees, one month's fee for the month in which the cause arose; (2) for class fees, only for the days on which the Member could not use the class for reasons attributable to the Reseller or the Operator, the class fee multiplied by the number of such days and divided by the number of days in the access period. Not watching a class for the Member's own reasons, or not watching it after the access period ends, does not count.
The Reseller and the Operator are not liable for indirect damage, special damage or lost profits (including profits that could have been earned through the Service).
The two paragraphs above apply only where the Reseller or the Operator was slightly negligent, and do not apply in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence. They also do not apply to damage to a person's life or body.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of AI answers (in the AI features, skills, or AI replies in the consultation chat). An incorrect AI answer does not constitute a defect of the Service (non-conformity with the contract).
Report any defect in the Service through Contact within 30 days of the day you became aware of it. For reports made after this period, we may be unable to provide the response in the second paragraph.
23. Exclusion of antisocial forces
Members promise that they are not organized crime groups, their members or similar persons ("antisocial forces"), and that they have no involvement with antisocial forces. If this is breached, the Reseller may terminate the contract without prior notice. In that case, paid fees are not refunded, except where the law allows otherwise.
24. Personal information
Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
25. Notices
The Reseller and the Operator contact Members by email to the registered address, app notifications, or notices on this site. Members contact the Reseller through the consultation chat (contact) or the contact details in the Legal Notice.
26. Changes to these Terms
The Reseller and the Operator may change these Terms without individual consent from Members under Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan when either applies: (1) the change is in the general interest of Members; or (2) the change does not go against the purpose of the contract and is reasonable in light of the need for the change, the appropriateness of the new content and other circumstances.
When making a change, we set the date it takes effect and, before that date, announce that the Terms will change, the new content and the effective date, by posting on this site, by email or by similar means. Changes that are unfavorable to Members are, as a rule, announced at least 14 days before they take effect.
27. Assignment
Members may not transfer their position or rights under the contract to others. If the Reseller or the Operator transfers its business to another company (including by merger or business transfer), it may transfer its position under the contract and Members' information to that company.
28. Severability
If any part of these Terms is held invalid under law, the remaining parts continue in effect.
29. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The district court with jurisdiction over the location of the Reseller's head office has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes about the Service. However, if the Member is a consumer, this does not prevent proceedings in the court with jurisdiction over the Member's address or any other court permitted by law.
